Early detection of skin cancer however can save lives!
Statistically, every third person in the course of their life develops basil cell carcinoma or melanoma. These kinds of cancer can appear not only on the face but also on other areas of the body. When symptoms of skin cancer are visible, the cancer is already in a very advanced stage. However, most patients can be healed when the skin cancer is found in its early stages. For this reason, early detection of skin cancer is of the utmost importance.
In the last years, free examinations of skin changes have been offered from Swiss dermatologists and as well in Zurich Enge from contributing dermatologist Dr. Hero Schnitzler. This year, the 2020 «Swiss Skin Cancer Days» as well as many other events, had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.
Still yet, during and particularly after the Lockdown, nature tempted. People took advantage of time to spend outdoors at the lake, on the lake and enjoy long walks in the mountains, especially after restrictions were loosened.
This year we have all had to take on more responsibility for ourselves and others. Take responsibility for your skin as well. Protect yourself during outside activities and go to the doctor when you notice suspicious changes in your skin. It can save your life.
