Participation in online training courses for laser doctors even after the Corona Pandemic, is still very active.
Further training days are compulsory for graduates of the course to obtain the «Diploma for Aesthetic Laser Medicine (DALM)».
Dr. med. Hero Schnitzler, dermatologist and laser expert in Zurich Enge decided to have the laser training take place online again in February 2023.
For training directly on the patient, laser physician Dr. Schnitzler still offers interested colleagues practicums, so-called internships, to complete the training at his laser center in Zurich Enge.
The online training was received with great response, and so numerous dermatologists and colleagues interested in laser medicine took part online in the “dies academicus” on the 2nd day of training, the last Saturday in February 2023.
Main topics about which dermatologist Dr. Schnitzler presented on camera from his dermatology practice were:

Laser applications in practice and alternative treatment options.
He explained to the interested auditorium which different laser systems are available in his laser center and what these individual lasers are used for.
In addition to laser hair removal and laser tattoo removal, this also includes laser treatment of age warts and age spots, laser treatment for wrinkles through collagen formation and laser removal of atheroma (sebaceous cyst).
He showed his colleagues that the treatments with the individual lasers lead to good and mostly aesthetically very satisfactory results, as well as alternatives to the treatments with lasers. Although these do not bring quite as excellent results, they still have their value and can achieve good result.

Permanent laser hair removal
In the second lecture, Dr. Schnitzler explained in depth permanent laser hair removal to his colleagues. The lecture contained everything worth knowing about hair, its structure and growth. The focus of the lecture was all types of permanent laser and IPL hair removal. Their modes of action and side effects for permanent hair removal were explained and lasers such as the Alexandrite laser and Diode lasers for hair removal were presented.
Subsequently, in addition to laser hair removal many other topics concerning other important laser treatments were discussed in depth among colleagues.
